So for a while now I have been learning how to slide... well not really I have been trying check slides on my shlong, but I seem to have a problem.
First I learned how to pump on it, then i found if I do an aggressive pump I could slide the board a little bit toe side or heel side. I got to doing that for a while but it wasn't very much slide to either side so I pushed it a little more, and a little more. Long story short, when I get to about 45 degrees slide out the board will just stop sliding, throwing me off violently. Amazingly I haven't gotten hurt from this.
So here is two questions
1) I have really soft wheels, 81a I think, and I am sure this is the problem. Is it?
2) I can't afford new wheels right now, so is there anything I could do? For example, in the last loaded newsletter, they had a loaded challenge 2 video and where a guy put skate wax (i think it was wax) on his wheels before he slid, would that help?
