    Default Backside slides

    So I've been trying to learn how to slide for a little while now and I just can't get standup backside slides. i can do frontsides so I don't know. Is there any way i could do em easier? Any techniques I should take into play? thanks

    dude, backside powers and checks are cake yo. Just watch sakamoto, then do them.

    Just kidin there partner, I think when you say slide, you are probally refering to a 180. One answer, watch a vid,practice, remember to unwieght and look over your shoulder, and practice. not to hard.

    If you're talking about speed checks, the one thing that helped me was rather than try to slide directly down the road, I'd start towards the right side of the road (I ride regular...) and carve towards the left hand side, start to turn towards the right again and push it out into a slide at an angle against the downhill slope of the road.

    Rather than go at a 0-degree angle straight downhill, angle your slide a little bit. You can kinda push off the grade and find a balance point better this way.
