Much of the sharpness you see here comes from the lighting conditions and a good exposure.

All I use is a Canon Powershot A540 and a lens adapter. This one was taken with a polarizer and a wide angle

    Deleted, I love that shot.

Leigh, the one with the thorn has nice depth of field.

Speaking of DoF, I am kind of upset, I took a bunch of shots of my board yesterday playing with DoF... but I forgot to set the ISO on the camera for the film, so they're probably going to be pretty overexposed. Gotta take them over. :/

What film, and what ISO did you shoot at?

Kodak Professional B&W (Color processed) Film, 400 ISO. I shot at 100 by mistake. (I usually shoot 400 in this camera so I didn't think to look). : / I can probably fix them post-development, but I'd rather not have to, hehe. We'll have to see when I get the roll developed.

That's not that bad. See if you can find a lab that will pull-process it for you. When you pull film it reduces contrast, and since most people that shoot film scan it and go from there nowadays that might be an advantage for you. I shoot tri-x sometimes, and I usually expose it as though it were 200 and reduce my development time accordingly. You can add contrast in photoshop, you can't take it away.

Shouldn`t be a problem at all, Kodak 400CN can handle 2 stops overexposure with ease.
No need for pull-processing(wich you usually don`t do on c-41 film anyway)

Cool, thanks. I didn't plan on pull-processing. I go to Wal-Mart right now (insert many protests here) to get my picture CD's and I don't think they would even know what pull-processing is. One day I'll have film scanner... one day... Thanks again.

I used to work in a pro-lab, I've pull processed plenty of C-41 using a dip and dunk machine. Wal-mart is going to run it through a leader-card processor and use a quicker process than standard c-41 though so they will not have the option. It's not badly over exposed though, you should be ok.

If you plan on going this year, can you get some shots of the Audi R10's?
