Not a large seen North of the border, but there are a few die hards.
There are about 5 of us based in Edinburgh who are out skating as much as the weather lets us. We travel all over Scotland looking for decent hills to skate, more recently for bombing, but we're more than happy sliding or carving about. We've got hill you could hit 50mph on and also loads of others where you can cruise at about 35mph without having to worry about traffic. Recently we've just found an absolute cracker, in fact two cracking hills in Edinburgh City centre. Super smooth, wide and just under a mile lone where you could easily hit 50mph if you wanted, but its an amazingly wide and great for carving / sliding.
Glasgow have there own scene, and are a bit fancy by having their own website longboardglasgow.com which we hijack now and again.
Further North all they way up to Orkney you'll find a lonesome soul flying aboot doing his thing too.
If you're ever North of the border and want to meet up for a skate get in touch. We're always about for a spin!
