apollo 11 problems

hey all

i needed some wheels to learn to slide on, so i ordered some cheapo bullets from
Apollo 11 skate shop (Cheap skateboards longboards bearings longboard skateboard shops skateboarding shop longboarding decks skate wheels seismic Lush UK)
i searched for them in these forums before buying, and i could only find praise for them.

i ordered my wheels last monday, and they still havent turned up. calls to the company just ring out, and they dont respond to email either

has anyone had any dealings with them that havent gone so good? i hate to badmouth them here, but i paid for those wheels, and if there was a problem with my order, then they could at least get in contact...

Having ordered quite a few sets of wheels, trucks, and a complete setup to my own spec. I have had no trouble with them. Hope it works out well for you and your wheels

How are they being sent? Did you pay for next day or something? It's the weekend. Some companies aren't open on weekends.

Chances are, the didn't leave the store until Tuesday, sat in the mail room until Wednesday morning, spent three days on a truck traveling across the county, another day sitting in a mail room, and then finally in a truck to your house.

they have an awful habit of not telling you when something isnt in stock. and simply waiting untill it is and presuming you wont mind.

I bought some holeys and they never arrived, don't want to scare ya but that's just my experience. Equally I have heard people who love apollo 11 say they will never go anywhere else. the bullets look sick at a great price though.

Their website is a mess and confusing;
Items are listed several times with differing prices;
They do the strangest combo deals on things that should never be used together;
Every deck I ever click on is sold out;
When I emailed them to ask for an accurate quote on a bunch of stuff (due to showing several prices), they never got back to me.

They're obviously too busy or disorganized to stay on top of things.
So I helped them out by buying my stuff elsewhere.

Remember, it's effectively a 4-day weekend over Easter. And then the postal service has to catch up with the backlog that creates....but not until they return to work on Tuesday.

hmm, its been 2 weeks today since i ordered... maybe im just too used to buying from major stores where it gets to your house before you can blink

even if i get my wheels though, next time i'll be buying from somebody who can be bothered to pick up the phone...

learning to slide on 70mm 78a wheels is NOT fun, but thats what im having to do atm

Keep trying to call them. I've bought loads of stuff from them but once when I bought a set of Khiro bolts they never arrived and were apparently sent out 3 times (I think not...). They refunded me on that one.

Just think of the slides you'll be able to pull on hard wheels once you've mastered them on 78's though.

Second that, Ive bought a few bits and bobs from them over the years. They do take forever to send stuff, but it will eventually arrive with you.

I'm surprised they actually took your money...I thought they only charged your card when they dispatched the goods. I've been waiting for 26 days now for an order, and have had no response to emails or phone calls, irritating yes...but I haven't been charged anything for the wait.

The general consensus of opinion seems to be that they're moving premises in Falmouth at the moment. Whilst I can imagine that might screw things up a bit, if they're not able to process orders within a reasonable time period at the moment, they ought to say so on their website to stop people from wasting their time.

They're just the sort of buisness longboarders ought to be supporting but they're not doing themselves any favours at the moment.

Theve got a bunch of cool stuff that you cant seem to get elswhere in the Uk, and ive been wanting to buy things from them on a number of occasions over the last year or so, but as they dont answer emails or phonecalls they've missed out on a fair bit of business from me, which seems like an odd business plan, and pisses me off.

they havent actually taken any money from the card yet, but we just had to cancel it.
the fact that their customer service is so useless (whether they are moving shop or not) means that i cant get hold of them to tell them this.
so im going to have to wait until they try to process the order. they'll be forced to contact me because it wont go through.
this whole thing is so boring now and i just cant be arsed.
properly screwed up my chances of me being able to buy from other online board stores as well
