hey guys,
i'm real new to the world of longboarding, only had a board 2 weeks, propper lovein it tho! just looking for people to board with now, I live in a little village in between cov and leamington, maybe we could meet up, have a board!?

Hey guys!
Ive been skateboarding for about 10 years now, recently got into longboarding and just bought a really nice Sector 9...
Been cruising around for a couple of days now, and I'd like to meet up with any local peeps who longboard too, share some spots, hit some hills etc...

Im in coventry and can get around most of Warwickshire/West Mids, so let me know if you fancy it

Hey all,

Is there anyone in the Coventry/West Midlands area near Rugby? And fancy doing a 5mile lap or more round Draycote water?

The terrain is pretty good and there are a few small hills that you can straight line without any major issue. It's not the best surface for pumping, but it's a nice day out. There's one straight where you can pump for around 0.5 miles and a few others here and there. Fine for pushing, though.

I'm thinking midday meet at the cafe/information centre entrance on Saturday 28/05/2011.

Anyone interested?

Hey all,

the Draycote water skate is still going ahead, depending on weather. Looks like there'll be at least 4 of us but it would be really great to get more along. Meet some local longboarders and get skating!

The Draycote skate happened and the rain held off! It was a really fun skate with my friends Mark and John from mygosh-photography. Mark has now bitten the bullet and bought his first longboard, happy days!

We’ll no doubt be heading over to Draycote again soon so I’ll post on the forums, once again. Is there anyone out there wanting to skate Draycote with us? Just post a reply! You can now, at least, get a feeling of what’s there. 5 miles around, some bits are smooth, some a little rough. The hills are small and mellow but fun! There’s even one hill that downhillers might like!??! Long and really quite steep!

Hi guys,

I'm also based around the Leamington area during term time, as I'm at Warwick Uni.
Last year a longboarding society was set up by some people I know and I'm trying to keep it going.
As it's international Go Skateboarding Day on Tuesday (21/06/11), I was planning to go for a skate during the evening with some friends.
Any of you guys are more than welcome to join us and feel free to join the group (Warwick Uni Skateboarding & Longboarding Society (Boardsoc) | Facebook), as I'll hopefully get one or two more events organised before the end of term.

My ankle is pretty messed up at the moment, but I managed I leisurely skate this morning. So, I'd be up for a little skate this Tuesday! Where are you thinking about going? I might be able to get some others involved too?
I've just joined the uni group and i hope it worked?

We're meeting up at 8pm on Tuesday in Leamington if you want to come along. Will probably end up skating a decent multi-storey near us, which gets locked at 8pm so we get free reign of it.
Join the Warwick Uni Skate Socitey mentioned above and you should get a message about it tomorrow with more details.

Another Northamptoner? I thought I was the only one! We so need to meet up and skate, which is more difficult at the moment (I'm pretty much back home for the summer now), but come September I'll be back in Northampton for uni!

Great to hear from everyone!
My ankle go re-injured, so I haven't been sakting for a couple weeks. Skated yesterday for the first time and it was quite painful.
But, I'm certainly up for skating tomorrow night! I'll be a the church for 8!
Hopefully get back to Draycote again soon, I'll post on here when we do!
