I'm living in London for the next 6 weeks and brought my board in hopes of meeting some new people to cruise with. I'm living right by Regent's Park and will travel pretty much anywhere (as long as it's cheap) to ride with some people. Let me know if there is anything good in the city or any places nearby. Cheers.
Check out Hyde Park, on uhh... firday or saturday? I think... There's a bunch of guys who do slalom and sliding sessions up there. Go to the lush longboard forums for better hook ups though, they all hang out there.
Oh, if you head down to Canterbury for whatever reason, I'll come out for a skate!

ye . im living in kingston . outta skirts of london . board to pieces just boarding the flat land of bushey park . so add me. and lets hook up in london .
I'm back from NY this weekend & there's a few of us in SE london who meet up on weekend nights to bomb some hills & cruise around crystal palace park, as well as some sliding too.
I hear people slide up fair bit in Greenwich park too right?
Oh yeah, my bad, was all cracked out and confused, I think it's greenwich park where the sessions are... Although apparently if you go at the wrong time the police will kick you out in case you are a pedo trying to make friends with kids via your skateboard....

This sunday, either early morning or late afternoon (weather dependant)
I'll be riding in Crystal Palace Park, probably with a couple of other riders too.
There's some great spots to carve up, slide, gain some speed & an impressive blind corner too.
I skated around Hyde Park and Regent's Park the other day and neither had much of anything to offer in terms of hills, unfortunately. I walked over to Primrose Hill later in the day just to see the view of the city and thought of how sweet it would be to skate it. Has anyone here been over that way? I'm going to check it out this afternoon and hopefully it won't be full of people like it was over the weekend.
Primrose hill is totally bomb. It sucks the pavement is so narrow because you can't carve and have to drag most of it, but you can get some good speed going if the park's not busy. I'll be around there a few days this week if anyone's down.

heya im living nearish to kingston but we are always up for riding around there, still beginers too but we tried richmond park and theres some amazing hills there. theres one maybe going over the next few days, wasnt too fast but we got a decent speed for a good mile or 2. if i remmember where it is. it pretty much went to robin hood gate from near the middle of the park. anyway if your interested just mail me back we would meet 7-8pm so there arent any cars around. how much of a beginer are you?? ive been riding my own boar a couple of months and just took up sliding(or trying) but another guy who would probably come has been riding about 2 weeks if that
