    Default Vintage Bahne?

My sister said she found it on the side of the street . It had bearings with no shields , don't know if they came like that, but it's really old, but the deck is still in good shape . I put some grip tape on from my left-over pieces because grip wasn't present. Any insight?

The lettering isn't what I remember Bahne having (stylewise) ask oldskaterguy.. He used to ride for them

That's an early Bahne from 1975 (the time of the Bahne Cadilac Nationals as immortalized in Dogtown and the Z boyz) with Chicago trucks and loose-bearing Metaflex wheels. Very nice. You should try taking it apart and giving it a good clean up.

That's definitely a fiberglass Bahne from around 1975. The lettering is correct and so is the color (a bit faded though.) The Metaflex wheels sucked though, the Cadillacs on mine gripped much better.

New stock races and bearings are readily available and you could probably easily convert it to modern sealed bearings and wheels too. I forget whether it takes a 627 or 608 modern bearing.

That deck can easily be fully refurbished and rideable.

Check and see if there is a serial number near the rear truck. There were lots of counterfeit Bahnes back in the early/mid-70s, mainly in Australia

had two of them stolen off my balcony recently...if they show up here, I'll let you know. Green 27" with bahne trucks and loose-ball, power paw wheels. Blue 24" with Chicago trucks, roller sport wheels. People who steal suck big time. That includes YOU btw if you steal stuff. F'in subhumans.
