Thank you for your quick reply. What a great resource this forum is. I've had the wheels and a Santa Cruz spoon nose 31"x10" pool board with Variflex trucks(yeah I know) since 1988 and hardly ridden it. I felt stupid. I liked ramps, vert,(not that i was any good at it) and down hill carving. Skateboarding changed to tiny, hard wheels and lots of tricks on flat land. I couldn't care less. I looked at the board every day in my basement for 21 years. Several weeks back, for some reason, I googled skateboards, and found this place. I felt like I did back in the early sixties when I first got into skateboards. I've been skating every day since(that it hasn't rained). The wheels were supposed to be softer than the park wheels of the day. I guess by todays long board standards, they're pretty hard, but they seem to grip pretty good to me. I got a Kiro bushing set and angled risers, and that REALLY woke up the board. Today I ordered some 70mm, 77a zig zags, Biltins and risers.
I may not be the oldest guy on this forum, but I'll bet I'm close(check the info). Age brings mortality but it also brings wisdom.Make sure your life is worth living.
I guess this kind of got a way from me . Blame the merlot
