    Red face Closure

Back in 1976 I was 16 yrs old. Skateboarder Magazine was at every 7-11 corner store. There were skaters every where. Every kid grew there hair long, the shag was very popular. My best friend was Tony Mercado, he was my neighbor and we skated together all the time. He passed away this yr. He died of a massive heart attack. I stopped by the old neighborhood to talk to his mom and help her reach some closure. Tony was a good man, a friend, a brother. I will allways remember you my old friend, you will not be forgotten. Rest In Peace.Your Amigo Eddy O G Texas Outlaws

I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world.. without you. A world without rules or controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible.

A great way to honour your memory of him.
My condolences, and it's great to hear that you stopped by his mother. Mothers were never meant to attend their sons funerals and I'm sure she appreciated you visiting.

    Love the pictures!

Sorry to hear that Eddy. Tube socks, volleyball kneepads, Logan Earth Skis, and the Texas summers in '76. Brings back some memories.

Peace on ya brah. It is tough to lose a long time friend. The pictures speak to the depth of that friendship. I'm sure that Tony's mom was extremely grateful for your visit.

    Peace be with you both.

Those pictures are cool, boys in the valley skateboarded in the 70's? I love the old skool headbands.
