I Would Like Some Help Getting Into Oldschool Boarding
I have shortboarded for a few years and longboarded for less, but after seeing a few "old school" style videos I thought that this might be the discipline for me. It would be cool if I got some tips/help from experienced skaters before I jump in headfirst.
Edit: Sorry, that was pretty ambiguous. I saw and liked these videos

And wanted to emulate that style of skating in my boarding, but wanted advice about things that might cause trouble for my if i didn't know them (ex. 'your ___ should be ____, otherwise your wasting your time.')
I also realize that the style I'm looking for could be better described as freestyle skateboarding, and have since learned much more about the discipline via google.
Also when I decided to make this thread I was much more tired than i should have been, so if my request was stupid feel free to tell me so.

Life is like a box of chocolates - I don't get it, even on Valentine's day.
