You never know. Decks didn't come pre-drilled back then, and the original buyer could've screwed up. For that matter, the shop could've screwed up. The good shops had one of these:

i could use one of those i think it would make the holes on my boards more accurate and easier to drill.
i dont think it would work for these old school wheels and trucks im building a board for because the holes are not accurate on the trucks. they are meant to be attatched with wood screws instead of bolts

but really, looks like it was home built out of a chunk of wood! no plys there!
Up until about mid '77, that's what the majority of boards were: a solid slab of oak, birch or ash, with a glued on wedge for a kicktail. Before that, plywood was generally only used on cheap, dept store boards...
