Personal responsibility for one's choices is dead and buried, even in something as simple as a plank with four wheels.
pete..Having a board doesn't make you a longboarder-riding it does.
oh cool! its been a while since i got on the forum and i had no idea a 'vintage' section had been added!! well then, lemme re-post the pix i had up at one time of my old skool jupiter board:
this is the original setup, and i rode it just this way with only changing out the bearings to bones *reds* and bushings to green doh dohs for a while before changing out the trucks for tracker darts, and no skoolz wheels.
rite now i'm going thru a bit of a vintage phase cos i've been riding this board alot lately and just yesterday i changed the wheels out to my 70's flashbacks and i noticed a HUGE difference in the ride...extremely smoooooth!
My friend found a board. It is blue aluminum with BANZAI engraved on top. the wheels are no name, but they are sub 60mm and have lips and loose ball bearings. they are road rider ish colored. this board is tiny. the trucks say banzai 11cm on them, which must be the axle length because they are half the width of my rtx 106mm. kingpins have flat screwdriver heads, and the bushings are red double barrels, which still look good. the trucks do not use a standard truck mounting hole pattern like new or old school. it is smaller.
any idea how old this is, if it has any value, or any other info?

Have double kick-tails? Remember someone having a Banzai w/ road riders on it. Pretty sure the road rider wheels were aftermarket, though. '76-'77?

washer that held the bearings on is rusted on i think and is almost impossible to remove without ruining the hangers would like to salvage hangers and wheels if possible if not then the wheels their 54mm by 54m so super sweet looking and ride ok

Was always leary of those sharp nosed boards, looks like they would hurt if hit by one!

i've got a retired board and was looking at the wheels.
they're in O.K. condition. they've been ridden prolly have 40 miles on em easy.
but they look ok and still ride really well.
I have old school blue krypto's, at least i think they're krypto's this is the only pic i have of them. i'll try and get more.
