My guess it's a Sims Woodkick, but it's just a guess.

the sims is an early 25" solid oak w/kicktail, the woodkicks came out a little later. the little yellow board is an early G&S, looks like a single layer of some type of particle board sandwiched between two thin pieces of fiberglass. i would guess and say it is possibly the predecessor to the fibreflexes...

Re: Vintage Old School page 50's and up
I recently saw my friend in socal. Really, he is my parents friend, but he and i are close too. He had a 1970's hobie (unfortunately run over) with flawless old gullwings, krypto c-65's and real chris yandall rad pads. it was really cool.
He also had a powell-peralta kevin harris model. it is flat. no concave. It has a picture of a skeleton canadian mounty holding up a beaver by its tail. in the background, it has maple leaves. the date says 1986, but it seems rather uncharacteristic of a mid-80's board. it is narrow at only 7 inches wide. single short, mellow kick.he was nice enough to give it to me! can anyone give me a little more information on this board? what is it designed to do? I am unsure if i should use it or hang it up.

That's a standard 80's freestyle board. Here's Kevin Harris putting it to use:
"Life is short, your boards don't have to be..."

I don't have any of my old rides, or pictures from way back then, but this thread has me on a serious nostalgia wave. Keep them coming.

that deck was my 1st longboard. crank down the bennetts till they wont turn, red road riders... and straight down the hill. we went fast on that board. it was also the primo high jump board and long jump landing board. and we wheeled it on ramps.... too fun.
