My guess it's a Sims Woodkick, but it's just a guess.

the sims is an early 25" solid oak w/kicktail, the woodkicks came out a little later. the little yellow board is an early G&S, looks like a single layer of some type of particle board sandwiched between two thin pieces of fiberglass. i would guess and say it is possibly the predecessor to the fibreflexes...

I recently saw my friend in socal. Really, he is my parents friend, but he and i are close too. He had a 1970's hobie (unfortunately run over) with flawless old gullwings, krypto c-65's and real chris yandall rad pads. it was really cool.

He also had a powell-peralta kevin harris model. it is flat. no concave. It has a picture of a skeleton canadian mounty holding up a beaver by its tail. in the background, it has maple leaves. the date says 1986, but it seems rather uncharacteristic of a mid-80's board. it is narrow at only 7 inches wide. single short, mellow kick.he was nice enough to give it to me! can anyone give me a little more information on this board? what is it designed to do? I am unsure if i should use it or hang it up.

That's a standard 80's freestyle board. Here's Kevin Harris putting it to use:

I don't have any of my old rides, or pictures from way back then, but this thread has me on a serious nostalgia wave. Keep them coming.

I wish I had that San Diego Spring board form the 50's. That Is one rear Skateboard and looks like it is in good condition. There looks like a lot of rear prototypes on your blog .

There was a stack of at least ten and he gave it to me for free. I wish I had never drilled it but I thought it would be a fun cruiser. Longboards were very obscure in those days! The Trackers and Snakes I bought new in either late 77' or early 78'. It now sits in my office as a reminder of days gone by...
that deck was my 1st longboard. crank down the bennetts till they wont turn, red road riders... and straight down the hill. we went fast on that board. it was also the primo high jump board and long jump landing board. and we wheeled it on ramps.... too fun.

I just got this all original Logan Earth Ski from a friend for my birthday. It was his 40 year old uncle's back in eighth grade, or so the story goes. It has Sims wheels, Bennett Pros, and the bearings were all seized so I removed them.

And here you may be able to see a little bit of rust in the baseplate, and it's preventing me from removing the hanger.

Also, there is a huge crack running down the board, so it's gonna be a wall hanger.

As for the trucks, I want to clean them up and replace the pivot cups and bushings, but I can't because of that locked kingpin. Can I WD-40 it and get it out? Any other suggestions? I really want to ride these trucks.
