If Thane (GriffinSk8) ever post pics of
all his old boards, he's gonna make some
eyeballs pop.. He has something in the
neighborhood of 300 classic boards..
I keep bugging him to take more photos.

what dug out of the garage today! my dads old skateboard. the wheels say rolling stars and the trucks read cal-glide on one and a bunch of number on the other. the deck is made of what seems to be fiberglass.

Duraflex was a pretty common brand around 75-76. "Freestyle" is a reference to the symmetrical shape, and double kick, which was used by several freestylers back then (and everyone thinks Mullen came up with that idea around 1990!)

dammm all these boards make me so jealous... all ive got are 2 reissues of the 24" G&S wingers. I had 2 Z FLexs but they got stolen . Soon im gonna move out of the early 70s skate scene into the later 70s ealry 80s pool scene and get some fatter powell boards (ill hop on the mini boards tho every once in awhile to do some nice berts and 360s and all that other good #### . Anybody got some good advice for a nice pool deck?

I had a z flex jay adams reissue wood pool deck that was beautiful. Stolen as well. Set up with Indy 169s and 65mm blue kryptonic c65s(yeah the old ones). Anyway, if you can find one of those you're in good shape. They made them as recently as 05? You may find a vendor with one. If not Alva has some k a pool stuff.

Here's my elephant wrench. 34 years old, and still going:
This is a real fun board:
24" doublekick fiberglass Tiger, from late '76. ACS 500 trucks, Powerflex 3 wheels, IKS bearings. Wheelbase is 14". I took this to the last Harbor 100 cone race, and during practice, I set a short (20 cone) course at 3' centers, and was able to run it clean. Took a few runs on the 100 cone course, and I was double pumping every cone...
[Apologies for the shitty cameraphone pics - I am at work currently...]
Recently unearthed from a neighbor's basement:
An orange Grentec GT with GT trucks and wheels, also orange.
I haven't explored the bearings yet, but from the few scoots I've had around on it, they could certainly use some lubing/replacment.
(I welcome any easy/gentle cleaning tips..)
Regardless, a fun artifact of a previous era.
my banana board is shaped very similar to this. and in good condition also.
its a DuraFlex 240. i got it for 25$ at a car show/swap meet. i saw it and saw the price and couldnt pass it up. all OG to. it has Universal trucks and wheels
Finally a deck with even worse flex than a Loaded! (It felt great at the time though...)

This one was a skate park rental. It's has a number 8 on the top. If I made a guess I would say Delmar skate park. At one time it was a three hole. But it got switched out to a small four hole. with cheaper trucks and knock off wheels. Topical of the times.
