The board is older . I changed my mind when I saw the Indy plate again. I think around 88 or 89 on the year?? Anything on the top of the board?

The value has dropped recently, it's worth what a collector will pay for it.. also, what shape is it in and what Krypto wheels is it sporting?

Well, no: the full name turned to "Krypto" in the mid '80s, so they must be earlier than that.

The red ones are rollerskate wheels from early 80s. there are lot of them from ebay. They made great skateboard wheels for now a day. They resemble a modern wheels.

I thought 80's 89. both are the same size little smaller than the 70's so 66's?? There not 60's. I got them from skater trader and the reds came from ocean side the blanks came from LA. I think these are either prototypes or came on a mall board from 89?? Have to say It's all a guess right now.

Skate 'em if you got 'em,

The red one on the right is not actually a C70, it is a 70mm USA: cored, rounded edges, flatback (not recessed like on the big C70) and it came out a little later, say 1982 (post 80).
The slalom is the early version of the cored C62 and C68: I suppose it has the same metal washer as the 2nd gens, so it is definitely 1977.

I have never ridden the old Startracs - if anybody has an used set of 70mm to sell, you are welcome - I'm not a collector, I am a rider !

Wrong.. the Amber slalom is from the same mold as all Krypto "Slaloms" They came in green/white and amber. The truly prized ones were lathed translucent green.. Bobby Piercy gave me 3 sets.. c-62's were a gimme from roller skates

    Bevil,

Your description of the USA 70 is dead on, however I stopped skating in 1980, and to the best of my recollection I already owned the wheels. And now that I think of it, there may have been a cored wheel in between the USA 70 and the startrac. It was the cored version of the uncored next gen startrack with a straight line concave and a thinner lip than the ones I have.

Yes, the slalom wheels do have a washer.

Ogre, more info please: Define lathed - was the back cut to create a lip, or was it the rolling surface? And you actually got some wheels from BP himself? Man one of these days I'm going to meet you and then I'll be singing (with apologies to the Dead):

"I shook the hand that shook the hand of B B Piercy and Charlie Chan!"

Where is Mr Peabody and the wayback machine?
Skate 'em if you got 'em,

    Francois

Yeah, they lathe work was mostly on the backside, but also the lip was "reshaped"
I think they were the Translucent green 70's that were re-worked " Sweet wheel actually..
