Where to find wood in vancouver?

Hi, I am making a homemade longboard but can't find any places in Vancouver that sell
Baltic Birch. If you know of any could you tell me. Thanks

go to a wood retailer, and look for VANEER or FURNITURE GRADE PLYWOOD.

theres a place right beside the canadian tire on marine way. AND THATS JUST OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD.

check your local yellow pages.

Might be late to comment on this, but new to the community.

Anyways, while i'm new to the sport, I'm also a carpenter so I can give you some suppliers I use that I know have what you're looking for.

Windsor plywood is your best bet if you're looking at going a standard two or three ply birch route, they've got multiple locations in the lower mainland to google them to find your closest retailer. I know for a fact that they sell 1/4" birch GOS ply in 4' by 8' for around $34 CAD/sheet that'll be enough to make 2-4 decks. They also carry an assortment of glues and you'll be able to find something you use there.

Windsor also carries, 1/16" veneers if you want to do some vacuum bagging. They have an assortment in stock, but are able to order most woods in on special order if neccessary (but be prepared to pay)

Another good supplier is Nucasa on Lougheed just past holdom in Burnaby (which is super close to Burnaby's Windsor Ply, definately worth visiting both if you're going to this one). They don't carry 1/16" veneers though, but they do carry 1/8" ply. Not 100% if they carry birch though, google and call to find out.

if you ever come over the the island to, West wind Hardwood carries BB as well, think its around $20 for a 5' by 5' sheet of 1/8" BB from russia... dunno why its shipped from russia but whatever.
