I am planning to make a trip out there for danger bay.
The race is May 18th to May 22nd if I am not mistaken...
That means umm too many days off school....... sadly (yeah I don't think my dad would be too happy)...
So could I scrape a little off the weekend some how? Like do I really need to be there on the 22nd? etc...? I really wish I could stay the entire time, but it seems very unlikely for me to do that (at least I can actually come though thankfully! ) . So yah, does anyone know like the sequence of events? Thanks!!
Where did you find out when it is? Do you have a screename btw?
I forget.....That is when it is every year though I am pretty sure...right? Unless they are known for changing the date between each annual race?
And no, I don't have a screen name.... I am too cool for screennames
If you would like to chat just drag me onto flashchat or call me up.
You gonna head out to VC for DB?
I was on a road in the pacific northwest driving downhill for thirty minutes. I think washington state has alot of undiscovered stuff so be sure to make a stop if possible. The hill I did in the car had me thinking about melted flywheel cores.
Party Friday
Slide, Parade, and Jake's Rash Saturday
Race Sunday
I think this year may run into problems with time for racing, last year it went for a LONG time with brackets that huge. If we have another year of 130 racers it may need to extend to Saturday Qualify, Sunday Race.

YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cool, that is really good that it doesn't cut into school..... smart move to not do that.......
I am most probably making the trip (please pretty please god!!.........(payin with my grad money.) ), so all yall youngins out there on the east coast wanna catch a flight? I actually may be going without parents if all goes well.....so yah I gotta find someone to hang with on the plane lol....
And I will also (most probably) be actually staying the state of Washington with a cousing and then getting a drive up to DB......
From what I understand, I can actually get round trip flights for a low as 400 and something dollars....... There goes most of my cash!!
One thing to keep in mind is you must take a ferry to Pender Harbor from Vancouver. Travel time can beinfluenced by the ferry ride. If the race goes on as long as it did last year, you have to drive like a bat out of hell to make the last ferry into Vancouver Sunday night.
Hmm, I searched for airfares from JFK to Vancouver
the cheapest was
$303 + $102 taxes & fees = $405 per person

Then 703 nonstop United from NYC-Vancouver but at very nice hours
Theres also from Newark with one stopover from 690.
Yes I am bored...
Anyway keep on the lookout on Orbitz or w/e... good luck!!
to save money last year, alot of people that flew in from cali or somewhere else, just went to seattle and then carpooled up with Deano, David, me and other ratz that drove up there.
Flying into Seattle is the way to go, just ask the 20 or so people who did it last year. If you are coming from a long ways off I would be there for the saturday festivities, the longboard float, slide comp, Jakes and of course the campfire. This is a 3 day weekend for those Cannucks and the ferries may need a reservation.

To tell you the truth, that is actually what I long ago planned to do....
I have a cousin who is probably gonna drive me up....he lives in Seattle also and hopefully if I have time I might make a stop at MaryHill if its open.....
