    Default Victoria, BC

I saw some threads by "Crank" about longboarding in Vic... I live in Vic and longboard around campus (UVic) daily, and during the warmer months I longboard after work with my boss and a few other buddies... Normally a crew of about 6 guys. We normally end up around Cook St Village, Beacon Hill Park, and sometimes the Save On Foods Memorial Center for it's slick cement for sliding.

Just wondering if there are may other Victorians on this board!

    -Brandon

dont waster your hard earned cash on ceramics. it aint worth your time for the cost.
i can tell you personally, i have ridden landy bearings up to 100km/hr and they're groovy.
its my standard racing bearing, inexpensive and quick.

actually i have found that using a thing called "grind king axle guards" makes life real sweet for riding through the winter, last year i used em on my dinghy and rode through all the snow and slush and #### over here in van. not a single rusted or seized bearing!
check em out man, look at sitka or switch boardshop, or any other core shop you can think of in the downtown vic area. i paid 8.99 for mine i think. just big plated nuts and a big plastic washer for the other side of your bearings.

Hey, im in fernwood (like three blocks from the save on foods centre) my bhangra is supposed to come in today but i have my cruiseing board ready to ride. I'm pretty noob, anyone know of any good spots to practice dancing? Also if you see a 6 foot 3 black dude longboarding in Vic its probably me.
