Where to buy longboard gear in Van?

Next Wednesday, I'm going down to Vancouver for surgery on my wrist (Plate removal if you're curious). As I live in a small, crappy town, the local skate shop carries a couple longboards at a time, but alas, no slide gloves.

So anyways, where can I buy some slide gloves? While I'm at it, I could go for a new helmet as well.

Helmet? As in a bucket or fullface? I just got my bucket at some bike shop on commercial... Fullfaces, well, bike shops too. Giro, Bell, etc.

Gloves? If you don't want to make them yourselves, the best option I can think of is heading over to Landyachtz. Seriously though, they are pretty easy to make.
