The folks at Gravity are at it again with the 4th Annual Slidefest held this year in Oceanside CA. This year is going to be better than ever with competitors coming in from around the world. Slidefest has again assembled a panel of professional skateboarders for the judges, and has a cash purse of $2300! Sponsors include Gravity Skateboards, Muir Surf and Sport, Khiro, Black Leather Racing, Tracker Trucks, 187 Pads, Randal Trucks, and Fiberflex Skateboards. Media sponsors include Silverfish and Concrete Wave Magazine.
This year, there is a separate contest for the best Halloween costume, but you have to be able to ride and slide in it! The afterparty is at Hensley's Flying Elephant Pub in Carlsbad where video highlights from the event will be playing on the big screen.
This year we will also have available to everyone that participates, and available for separate purchase, a DVD with the last 3 years of Slidefest. A great video for those that want to see the best sliders in the world come together at one venue.
