3nd Mostra Competitiva de Downhill Speed

AGSDS (Associação Guaíba de Skate Downhill Speed) is a downhill skateboarding association founded in 2001 in Guaíba, city located in the south of Brazil near Porto Alegre the capital of Rio Grande do Sul State. We founded AGSDS to promote skateboarding in town. The amateurs riders are our main concern so every speedboard/slalom event we organize we have 2 categories: OPEN and AM. This is the way we found to help new riders getting into races and the results are really promissing. Guaíba city is one of the most skate minded city in our state...

Through the partnership among the local Police and Cherish Institutes skateboarding is developing a great respect in town. Now people see skateboarding as a healthy activity besides a very awesome and gnarly way to have fun...

On Oct. 31st and Nov. 1st 2009 we are receiving riders from all over Brazil and also from overseas (last year Kevin Reimer raced the event) for the “3nd Mostra Competitiva de Downhill Speed” race. The only Brazilian event to have four downhill disciplines (standup, streetluge, slalom and inline) and having the AMATEUR standup as the main race of the event...
