don't pay more for so called higher grade bearings. These are really fast and strong. I ride straight superfast downhills with them (been clocked at 50mph) I grease them with full synthetic motor oil and thats way sufficient. No need to get the specialised "Bones speed Cream(R)" Just keep em clean and they'll last a lifetime.

Tarnation: I like Reds but I have to second Chris's comments about the clicking. Even my freshly cleaned bearings get a little chatty. Still they're nice and smooth; a hell of a lot faster than the gravity ABEC 5s my board shipped with. Conner: I use them since 4 Years and what can I say? Very fast but not good for carving, after 2 mounth you can buy new bearings. Drew: What is the difference between the Bones Red and the Bones Swiss? Cam Shaw: Awesome bearing at a great price. They are so easy to clean. Bones Reds are the best choice in affordable bearings. Chris: I have mixed feelings about reds.I do like them for being inexpensive and easy to service/clean.i have two sets on small "new school" decks and they are without question very fast but after 2 months time they both got noisy, of the 8 in a set ,2 or 3 bearings got "clicky" . its seems as if there is an imperfection fouling the race at a particular spot causing this"click" as the balls pass.this is on 2 skates and i do clean them regularly.note they never were dirty so i dont know why they are noisy.the clicking is of course tolerable and the bearings still roll nicely i just didnt expect this from a higher end bearing i would recommend Reds because of the price and ease of cleaning. But you can also get a set of abec3 for half the price and if they have the removable sheilds they could last just as long and roll as well.beside that whole abec 3-5-7, ceramics,6 ball thing is nearly all hype. sam easterbrook: dam fine sweet set of bearings.Best yet glad i choose them and what a cheap price. Ben Bobster: really fast and durable and only 15 dollars unknown:I love these bearings I think they are the best I have ever owned they are fast and durable and cheap too they have lasted me about 1 year of pretty harsh use in m shortboard.

Jim: I have used the same set on my Sector 9 and G&S Bar board for about 6 months. With proper maintenance, these are as good as the day I bought them. No clicking for me, ever. Keep them clean, as with any bearing. I hit about 40 to 45 on my G&S with these in Beverly Hills, then slammed into the pavement. I laid in the street for about a minute to see what was broken on me, and when I got up, my board was about 50 feet away, upside down, and all wheels were still spinning away. After self-medication and patching up, I promptly emailed the manufacturer and praised them for their great products. I know the Swiss balls are even faster.
