Loaded Vanguard Flex 2, Wednesday, 02 January 2008 Written by Noriel Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: One YearWhat is your setup like?: Randall 180's with Khiro white Insert bushings (I like things on the soft side). Powell China Reds Sector 9 Goddess of speed 76mm 78a My setup is for pumpable commuting, for the cooler Houston, TX winters. Typical Session Discipline: Pumping, Carving, Commuting How much did you pay?: $159 Where did you purchase it?: Boardsports.com What were the strengths of the deck.: The board is very light due to the Bamboo/Fiberglass construction. My weight fluctuates from 150 - 170 lbs depending on season and whatever I'm carrying on my back. The flex is perfect for rough roads and the 76mm soft duro wheels help soak up the shock as well. The flex helps me keep a decent pump going, and keeps my legs from taking too much shock. What were the weaknesses?: The only weakness of this board is the clear grip applied to the top. It gets dirty and sometimes I'd like to replace it with regular tape, but can't until most of it wears down. I wish some of the softer flexes were offered in the larger size. If you need a flex 3, then you're stuck with the 38" size. This isn't a bombing board, so don't expect it to hold up to your drop decks. Similar decks you have ridden?: I honetstly haven't ridden anything with this shape and flex. Would you recommend it?: Yes

Loaded Vanguard, Monday, 31 December 2007 Written by TLTJosh Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: About 5 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Paris 180 Trucks, Retro Big Zigs, Abec 7 bearings (soon to be Super Swiss 6, but mail man is holding out on me!), and Flex 2 board. Typical Session Discipline: Bombing, cruising, dancing. How much did you pay?: Around $250 - $260 Where did you purchase it?: www.milehighskates.com What were the strengths of the deck.: I love the flex of the board, super smooth ride that impresses all that see it. Great downhill board for what I do. I love dancing on the board too. What were the weaknesses?: Speed wobbles come sooner then some other boards, but that gives you a rush when your going 35+mph down a road. Similar decks you have ridden?: Sector 9 Bomb Hill, and a carving series one, but this is my favorite by far! Would you recommend it?: Yes
