Jose and the pussy cats, Thursday, 28 June 2007 Written by Jack If you must go with Loaded dont go the vanguard go the Deverish (out soon - better geometry; a nose and tail to work with) The pintail or stinky fish are also better all round boards. Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 6 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Premium aka gumms, RII's, flex 2 Typical Session Discipline: Abandoned carparks/garages, carvin marvin How much did you pay?: I just may go down by the bay so make way. Where did you purchase it?: Direct from Loaded What were the strengths of the deck.: It's different to anything else. I've been popping some crazy slides on it. Tough and versitle. What were the weaknesses?: I'm 180lbs and the flex two is exessively flexy. When landing an ol school kick flip with my feet less then 10 inch apart it bottms out like crazy. You can literally bounce this baby to the road very easily. It sits high off the road and due to the flex in the deck it does not handle bombing unless the trucks are righty tighty which defeats the purpose of riding a board made for carving. Not an all round board but insane feel when getting around - but what board doesn't have an amazing feel with RII's and gummies??? Similar decks you have ridden?: Pintail, fish Would you recommend it?: Undecided

Loaded Vanguard, Sunday, 22 April 2007 Written by Jake 747 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: Just over a year nowWhat is your setup like?: Flex: 5Trucks: Randal RIIs (180mm)Wheels: Abec 11 Gumballs (76mm, 81a durometer)Bearings: Max Abec 5 Typical Session Discipline: Downhill or just plain crusing What were the strengths of the deck.: This deck has a lot of strengths, it has great turing which you can really push to the limit. it is also really durable however the trucks do scratch quite survearly. It is very responsive when crusing. What were the weaknesses?: The weaknesses concering the Vanguard are thet the trucks are annoyingly squeaky and you cant just use your normal stance you must find one to fit with this cirtain deck, the largest weakness of all is the fact that it tends to lose stability slightly at higher speeds. Would you recommend it?: Undecided
