Exkate and randall, Friday, 02 February 2007

Written by guest   -  View all my reviews  - #1 Reviewer

I had the exkate 101s on my board and within the first hour of use the piece that keeps them from getting wheelbite snapped and I ate aspalt. I got a new set because of the lifetime warranty, and the same thing happened. Finally I just got the randalls and I havn't had any problems yet. I like the snap of the exkate, but licking the pavement is no trade off for a set of trucks. Stick with the randalls and you'll be happier.

i have the 180's on two longboards. i like how they handle compared to the indy's i used to have. the randalls aren't your cure for the wobs. the wobs are all in you legs and your head. ive topped out at 45 with no wobs.

Got these and EXkates..., Friday, 02 February 2007

Written by guest   -  View all my reviews  - #1 Reviewer

On a 48 inch board with a 39"wheelbase... I weigh 230(ok, I know I am fat...) and after swapping out the Randall's bushings with white dodos...here is what I see... Less wheel bite with the EXkates, tighter turn with the Exkates...more stability with the randals...when you turn with the Exkate you are stretching a the bushing which then you go straight again the energy is released...snap back if you will...not to noticeable...but per your tastes its a plus or negitive... I would not say one is better then the other...I like the randals better on speed...for slow mellow hill carves I like the Exkates...If I could only pick one...Randall...it is easier to customize...kingpins, hardware, bushings...all standard truck parts...the Exkate parts are not standard...although they are available online, If Its Sat night and I am going skateing the next day I need to be able to go buy them tonight...
