What similar equipment have you ridden?: Bigzigs, Zigzags, Sector Nine race wheels, Purple Orangatangs, Hawgs Would you recommend them?: Yes FTW, Tuesday, 11 November 2008 Equipment Reviews How long have you ridden them?: about a month and a halfWhat Setup are you running them on?: loaded vanguard paris 180s Typical Discepline?: carving, cruising, occasional sliding How much did you pay for them?: $0... I won them in a raffle Where did you buy them?: Purple Skunk Skateshop? What are their weaknesses?: none that i can think of other than the fact that the logo fades away rather quickly compared to my other wheels. Also, they have an incredibly noisy and chattery slide at first. it takes at least 2 weeks to really break them in enough to have those smooth buttery slides. What are their strengths?: very versatile wheel! brand new, they were incredibly grippy, but i could do slight speed checks if i really tried. after a couple days worth of hard riding, they can now slide like a dream. it takes almost no effort at all to do a full 180. when we stuck them on my friend's Hellcat, the kept their speed very well, and stayed stuck to the pavement when you wanted them to, but you could still slide to a stop if you really needed to. What similar equipment have you ridden?: Bigzigs, Zigzags, sector nine race wheels Would you recommend them?: Yes 97mm 78a, Monday, 13 October 2008 Equipment Reviews How long have you ridden them?: i ride them on my friends ComishinWhat Setup are you running them on?: (he has) Kebbek Ian Comishin, Bear Grizzlys, lanyachtz 10mm bearings Typical Discepline?: DH, speed carving How much did you pay for them?: something close $100, give or take a few. Where did you buy them?: TLS What are their weaknesses?: a bit heavy, and difficult to push uphill. takes a long time to build speed. What are their strengths?: tank-like! you feel like you could plow through anything riding these things. lookout pedestrians! very high top speed. What similar equipment have you ridden?: nothing. they are a unique wheel. Would you recommend them?: Undecided a legend!, Sunday, 28 September 2008 Also, rayne apparently has been having some problems making their D-seed dropthrough cutouts correct. i had to sand mine down alot to get my crails to fit. Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: about 4 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Crail Speed trucks, 75a gumballs, DBS abec 7 bearings Typical Session Discipline: Downhill, Cruising How much did you pay?: i bought it in peices so about 320 including tax and shipping Where did you purchase it?: deck from Skates on Haight, Crails from Landyachtz.com and wheels/bearings from Daddies. What were the strengths of the deck.: incredibly agile for a board of its size/length. the incredible amount of footspace also is great because you can shift your feet around to any position you feel comfortable with. What were the weaknesses?: the nose and tail are a bit weak, as i have already put a couple clearly visible dents in them. also, one of the huge problems with the deck is that if you plan on getting Crail trucks, be prepared to sand down the cutouts. when i first got mine they did not fit even an inch into the hole. Similar decks you have ridden?: Kebbek Ian Comishin, Rayne Hellcat, Landyachtz Evo, Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 5 of 5 |
