Reviews written by Delta Roggs, Tuesday, 11 November 2008 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 3 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Bear 852 trucks, yellow Randal bushings, 81a grippins, and abec 5 bearings. Typical Session Discipline: Dancing, Boardwalking, Cruising How much did you pay?: 120 Where did you purchase it?: From Kyle What were the strengths of the deck.: It's dead sexy. No really. I got the economy board and damn it looks nice, no need for custom paint (although that looks sick too). Also for my 150lbs the flex is right on, nice and bouncy but not floppy, it's also cambered giving it a nice return. The size is great too, long enough to dance on, but still maneuverable. The wheel wells are a nice addition, letting you run really loose trucks without fear of wheel bite. What were the weaknesses?: You really won't want to mess it up! And that's about it, it only missed a 5 on durability because I tried to do a shenanigans and the board hit the curd and got a split on the side, but I didn't think it hit hard enough to do so. Other than that, love it, buy one. now. Similar decks you have ridden?: Arbor Rail Loaded Dervish Gravity Super Carve Would you recommend it?: Yes I like it, Monday, 04 August 2008 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 6 monthesWhat is your setup like?: Randal R2 180s no risers, ABEC 5 greaseballs (stock), and 66mm 70a Arbor stocks. Typical Session Discipline: Carving, Cruising, Light DH How much did you pay?: 150 complete but with Gullwing Alpines instead of the Randals Where did you purchase it?: RememberDeleware.com What were the strengths of the deck.: Looks great, big kicktail, nice and wide for a little dancing, rather stable at speed actually. The kicktail is actually really awesome because you can both turn and, get ready, ollie this thing. I just got it down and I can't wait to take it up a curb! What were the weaknesses?: With big wheels and smaller trucks wheel bite is very possible. Also when ever you slap tail wood comes off, I mean a lot. But i remedied this by gluing a piece of wood to the tail as a really cheap guard. Similar decks you have ridden?: None really, I suppose the closest thing would be an OSD. Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 2 of 2 |
