Disappointed with this ride. No concerns over the quality - all Lush boards are well made - but it just doesn't quite hit the mark. Not bad for sliding, though the weight, length and wheelbase make it hard work in the park. Better to go for the Globe Slide or 33.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: Eight months
What is your setup like?: Trackers, Abec No Skoolz 60mm
Typical Session Discipline: Park/slide
How much did you pay?: £40 (deck only)
Where did you purchase it?: online
What were the strengths of the deck.: As with all Lush boards it's well made. Decent enough slide board, with the right set up.
What were the weaknesses?: Too heavy and too long. Lacks any real zing for anything remotely ambitious in the park, so doubtful you'll be whipping it around as Lush predict. Have grown to hate this deck in a very short space of time, but that's not to say someone nine feet tall wouldn't enjoy it.
Would you recommend it?: No

Often overlooked, but one of the best from Lush,  Monday, 06 October 2008

The Makonga is often overlooked in favour of Lush's more expensive carve/cruise boards, but they really hit a sweet spot with the dimensions of this deck.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 18 months
What is your setup like?: Holey 180s, Lush Magmas 70mm, 78a
Typical Session Discipline: Carving, cruising, bombing
How much did you pay?: £100
Where did you purchase it?: online
What were the strengths of the deck.: Pretty much a perfect carve/cruise board. Hugely improved by the addition of Holey trucks. Length, concave, width make for a sweet deck. Can handle a bit of speed and also a lot of fun in the park or around a mellow bowl.
What were the weaknesses?: Kicktail is a bit redundant, particularly with the Holeys and big wheels.
Would you recommend it?: Yes
