The film follows a crew of friends who happen to work in reality TV. After being introduced into longboarding, they soon begin to document their adventures across the US and even other parts of the world on their longboards. Livin? Free is a hard DVD to review. You?ve got some unique footage in various, aesthetic locales which are inspiring and beautiful. But when it?s over in under an hour, you?re left feeling a bit unsatisfied. So is it worth the buy?
For 20 bucks (that?s what I paid directly from their site) you?re getting a feature with a runtime of about 43 minutes, a few bonus features and a sticker. I was initially disappointed with how short the film was, but I have to admit, I have definitely gone back and watched it more than a few times. There is a certain charm to the film. Whether it be the people or the soundtrack, maybe it?s the inspiring locales these riders find themselves exploring, but something keeps bringing me back to watch this movie again and again. If you're on the fence about picking this title up, check out the trailer at www.orangefiist.com and see if that won't help you make your mind.

This past Fall I accidently sent my longboard to the bottom of a river. After fishing it out and neglecting to take care of my bearings, they needed to be replaced. I found PleasureTools through a recommendation and after considering the cost ($10.50 for sealed ABEC 7's) I HAD to give them a chance. I have to say, for the most part I was impressed. Compared to my previous, generic bearings, they ran a lot smoother and quieter. However, I did notice, that even with cleaning and re-lubrication they weren't as quick on flat ground. I had to push slightly more often (or harder) than with my previous bearings. But this was a minor complaint considering the overall quality of the bearing. When I took them downhill I had NO issues whatsoever. With an inexpensive price point, high quality construction and super smooth ride, you really have very little to lose by trying out these bearings.

So your stock bushings suck, eh? Or maybe you've really worn them out. Look no further for your replacements. With this kit I was able to experiment and dial-in to the most comfortable ride. You'll hear varrying opinions here on the 'Fish of what bushing is the best. My recommondation is that you pick up this kit, spend an afternoon switching out the different duros until you find the ride that is perfect for you. In the long run you'll thank yourself for spending the extra cash to get this kit and find your better ride.

- beautiful board
- made solid
- perfect amount of flex for downhill
- served as a perfect "first board"

i first stepped onto this deck in the early summer of 07 and i fell in love. i hadn't gotten on to a skateboard since i was in like 6th grade and this board was a perfect rentry into the "skating world." i took it everywhere i went. i was on tour this summer, and every place we stopped, i had to get out and just play around on it. this board came with us everywhere. its seen highways and rest stops, the appalachians, the upper pennisula of michigan, country roads of indiana, streets of missouri, EVERYWHERE... and when i was home, i couldn't resist taking it around the neighborhood. a few impressed friends went out and bought themselves their own boards, both being sector9s, which just never felt right under my feet. this board was/ still is nothing short of awesome.

What were the strengths of the deck.: i thought the deck had a great asthetic. its a good lookin board. also it has a phenomenal shape. slight concave gave it the stability and rigidity i like.
What were the weaknesses?: the spray on grip, although it looked nice, it did wear off pretty quick. it also traps dirt and other crap you step in.
Similar decks you have ridden?: none
Would you recommend it?: Yes
