They are good gloves that slide. I have the 1st gen and those pucks are really bad. I had been tech sliding for about 3 weeks on these gloves (did some other things with them months before, but not much) and the old pucks had a lot of problems. They were thin and after you get past a certain point, they start to melt after a long long slide, this was a large problem for me. After about 5 slides on watchtower hill, they were burned through and into the velcro. They new slide pucks make up for it though.

The Thumb is a very vulnerable part, my friend fell once on the thumb, and there is a complete gash in the thumb area that will soon result in the thumb coming off if I hit it enough.

Other than that, they are excellent gloves, the ventilation on top is great, you'll still sweat, but it won't be like Dantes inferno. Just be careful about how you slide on them, and they'll hold up.

It is pretty simple to use, its idiot proof. I just don't like the fact that the screw attachment cannot attach to something on the tool in case you wanted to screw something off using the tool as leverage, but that won't happen much. My friend had the tool, and he stripped the part used for taking the truck bolt off because the Randal kingpin sucks and him constantly slipping stripped it. Other than that, it has worked well for me, isn't a great bargain or anything, but I have nothing negative to say about my own tool.

Its a nice deck to begin with. Its tough to push but you'll like it when it builds up your leg strength. It is the deck I used to learn on. I love that board to death even though its not the best, but it was enjoyable to ride and it could be put in any situation and perform nicely (nothing extreme though).
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: 1 year
What Setup are you running them on?: Randal 180's, stock bushings, 84a gumballs, Bones Reds
Typical Discepline?: Crusing, light carving and light DH
How much did you pay for them?: about 190 with shipping
Where did you buy them?: skatesonhaight.com
What are their weaknesses?: Not very flexy, wheel wells aren't the best, the nose is vulnerable to start de-lamming after a while and it isn't a very agile deck. It weighs 15 LBS with my setup.
What are their strengths?: Plenty of room, pretty fun to ride, it is fairly agile for such a lengthy deck. It can be used doing DH (i've hit around 30 on it) and it can make a fine dancer. It can do many things.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: Gravity Ed. Economy
Would you recommend them?: Yes

These wheels are excellent for multiple disciplines and can hold up in many conditions and situations. They are very nice all around wheels that are worth buying if you want to roll for a longer amount of time.
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: About 3 months
What Setup are you running them on?: Evo, 840's/852's Grizzly trucks, Bones Swiss bearings
Typical Discepline?: Dowhill/carving
How much did you pay for them?: About $75
Where did you buy them?: Amazon
What are their weaknesses?: They're heavy (not a big deal for me)and expensive.
What are their strengths?: They roll forever, they hold down momentum and are very "fast" wheels. They have a smooth ride and a smooth slide. They are the best multi-purpose wheels I have rode to date.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: 83mm, 75a flys.
Would you recommend them?: Yes

They are good wheels for any deck and can be used in almost all situations. They can be grippy but are also able to drift and slide more than you would think. If you just want a good all around wheel that can handle different kinds of abuse, then get these.
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: 11 months (84a they are)
What Setup are you running them on?: Nosewalker, RII 180's, Bones reds. (they have also served time on my Evo).
Typical Discepline?: Cruising, Carving, light downhill
How much did you pay for them?: came with complete
Where did you buy them?: Skatesonhaight.com
What are their weaknesses?: Their slide is not very smooth, its a very rough slide. They also tend to feel a bit slugish and are not the greatest wheel for DH.
What are their strengths?: They are grippy when new, but when you break them in a bit, they have the tendency to drift and slide somewhat easily. It isn't the nicest slide in the world, but its not bad.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: Zig Zags, Big Zigs, EW 76mm superballs, Seismic Blastwaves.
Would you recommend them?: Yes
