Michael Stefaun's new Pro Deck from Pool Kings is bringing the bling!  Look at that thing!  Click it to visit the site.

Stefaun's roots are in street skating. Therefore, it's only natural that his pool shape closely resembles the traditional, double-end, twin tip shape that so many street decks incorporate. Michael's Pool King deck is constructed using polymer composites and 5 plys of hard rock maple veneers. Pool Kings claim these are 8 ounces lighter than standard 7 ply wood decks of the same size and shape and retain their "pop" for a longer time as well.

as said before, this is a love it or hate it kinda board. i hated it as a flex five oak (which was reccomended for my weight. but i love it as a flex three bamboo. because of the shape of the deck, i really could get used to it, because it forced my stance in the center when i wanted to ride up front. also, when i had my oak version, i hated its grip with a firey passion of a thousand burning suns, but the bamboo version grip is an improvement.

i can only reccomend this deck if youre looking for a dedicated carver and only if you like riding in the center of your boards.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: year and a half
What is your setup like?: r2 180s, indy reds, 80 avalons or cherrybombs or 76/83 kryptos
Typical Session Discipline: carver
What were the strengths of the deck.: fantastic construction method.
What were the weaknesses?: the grip sucked, the platform forces your stance, and the reccomended flex was waaay to soft for my liking.
Would you recommend it?: Yes

fantastic fantastic slalom board for novice and advanced riders alike. the concave in front is just enough to lock in your foot and to help with leverage. but not overly excessive as to where every minute movement you make forces you to turn. also, since the rear truck is mounted on the wedge, theres a cradle effect for your rear foot. so it really helps with foot placement.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: about a year-ish?
What is your setup like?: 100mm rt-x chicken offset, indy 101, 78 avalons/83 hotties or 86 avalons/88 grippins
Typical Session Discipline: tight slalom
What were the strengths of the deck.: perfect concave in the front to lock in your foot. the rear truck mounted on the tail, making a cradle for you back foot.
What were the weaknesses?: its a little too skinny in the rear.
Would you recommend it?: Yes

great board for any run without tight turns. the way i have it setup isnt exactly nimble. but this is my go to go fast board for new hills im not sure about. the flushcut and shallow drop doesnt give a massive swinging sensation/drifty action other dropped boards give.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 2ish years
What is your setup like?: randal dh plates/flipped 180 hangers and 83/81 flys
Typical Session Discipline: dh
What were the strengths of the deck.: great concave, great width.
What were the weaknesses?: because of the flushcut, it really limits your truck options.
Would you recommend it?: Yes

first i made this into a six wheeler, but the flex was messy. so i then cut it down to 28 inches and use it as a loose hybrid/gs deck. now its a great pedestrian slalom board, until i criddle somebodys ankle that is...
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 3 years
What is your setup like?: tracker rt-s(-5), fury evo(+15), trimmed 80 avalons front, 78 avalons rear.
Typical Session Discipline: loose hybrid, gs
What were the strengths of the deck.: whatever the stock grip was from back in the day, it rules.
What were the weaknesses?: the original length for my weight still felt too flexy.
Would you recommend it?: Yes
