Reviews written by TitoBoy the mini of all minis, Wednesday, 26 November 2008 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: about a yearWhat is your setup like?: tracker dart 129 trucks, gravity angled risers, 72mm 85a gravity super sliders (black) Typical Session Discipline: campus cruising, carving, pedestrian slalom, skurf, dh How much did you pay?: $114 Where did you purchase it?: http://gravityboard.com What were the strengths of the deck.: At 24'' length and with a 14.25'' wheelbase, this deck performs SOLIDLY enough to outperform boards twice its length. The hard 7-ply maple deck (with concave) locks your feet on the board for SOLID foot placement. The stubby tail and slight raise on the nose gives you a feel of where the board starts/ends without having to look down on the board. Couple this with a small wheelbase and you have a board that'll carve so hard and turn on a dime. On the practical side of things, the size of this board makes it easy to hide in a backpack or carry on hand when on public transpo. On the aesthetic side, you will definitely catch people's attention zipping by and carving hard on this little monster of a board! What were the weaknesses?: Besides being a basis for foot placement, the stubby tail of the BW24 serves pretty much no other purpose. Similar decks you have ridden?: LBL Humu, Ladera Purple Heart and Ladera Surf n' Turf Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 1 of 1 |
