IMO this is one of the best things you can buy while starting up longboarding. The kit enables you to play around with a variety of bushing combinations allowing you to fine-tune and dial in exactly what you want to get out of your setup. Also, because it gives you two of each duro and style (barrel and bitch) you can play around with mixing and matching different syles so you know how each responds.

the new kit also gives you lock nuts and speed rings which is something that is great to have with you while you're out boarding (trust me I learned the hard way).

I'm 6'3" 220 lbs. Riding this deck I can jump up and down as much as I want and this thing doesn't bend. if you're looking for a stable deck this is definitely an option for you. durability is there. It takes a beating and keeps going. as I said below, the nose on my board cracked, but that is bound to happen with any drop-through deck.

Key points:

-stiff deck
-durable
-baseplate cutouts are inaccurate thus far for rayne boards
-board is dark brown, not black (for those that care)
-its heavy
-deep concave that locks you in

Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 8 Months
What is your setup like?: => '08 D-seed (black geographic graphic)
=> Crail Speed trucks
=> orange o-tang inheats
=> super swiss 6
=> Khiro double barrels

Typical Session Discipline: DH, LDP, Parking Ramps, Slides
How much did you pay?: $150
Where did you purchase it?: Daddies Boardshop
What were the strengths of the deck.: => massive platform for a ton of space to work with to practice different kinds of tucks
=> agressive tub-concave which locks you in
=> tight lookin graphic
=> the color isn't actually black. its a very dark brown which you can only really see once you have it in the sunlight.

What were the weaknesses?: => the nose cracked through the multiple plies of wood at the very front. not a really big issue, just needs some epoxy.
=> this is a very heavy board. doesn't bother me to carry it around, but for smaller people this isn't a board to carry around w/ you for traveling.

Similar decks you have ridden?: kebbek smoothcut
Would you recommend it?: Yes

Bought these gloves 8 months ago to get into sliding and just general protection during boarding. the pucks themselves are awesome and slide very well, have decent life expectancy, and can easily be adjusted. My personal problem with these gloves is the construction. The stitching on 3 different places on my gloves has been gradually coming undone since day 1, and just a week ago the velcro came unglued from one of the finger pucks (which is somewhere on the side of the road). great gloves overall, and if they last for you, more power to ya, but they didn't for me so I'll be investing in a different brand next time.
