Reviews written by boxcutter Paris Trucks, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 Equipment Reviews How long have you ridden them?: 1 weekWhat Setup are you running them on?: On a custom built pintail, 7ply maple, with stock bushings and Pink Seven-O's Typical Discepline?: Campus Cruising How much did you pay for them?: 43$ Where did you buy them?: Muir Surf and Skate What are their weaknesses?: Stock bushings are a little bit hard to my liking, but I can change those. What are their strengths?: Smoother turn than comparable truck, seems as if it is transitioning consistently as I turn deeper, as opposed to my randals that turn quicker at the begginning. What similar equipment have you ridden?: Randal II 180's, Force C7's Would you recommend them?: Yes Gravity Pool 36, Thursday, 15 February 2007 With my cruising wheels i definitly need risers to avoid wheelbite. Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 1 MonthWhat is your setup like?: Orion SP1 Trucks, Khiro and stock bushings, Sergio SLiders for sliding, Sector9 69mm x 53mm Nineball Wheels White 75a for general cruising Typical Session Discipline: Sliding, General Cruising How much did you pay?: Won it in a raffle Where did you purchase it?: UCSD Muir Skate shop What were the strengths of the deck.: Relatively small deck, lightweight. Good for general campus cruising because of the balance between size, weight and stability. Versatile because can be a nice slide deck. What were the weaknesses?: Not for hill bombing, but this isn't necessarily bad, its not designed for that. Can handle hills when carved though. Would you recommend it?: Undecided Landy DH Race Older Model, Thursday, 15 February 2007 Length-wise, makes it less capable of campus cruising because of storage, but otherwise a versatile board. Because of the board's geometry, one needs bigger wheels, smaller wheels would need a good amount of risers. Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 4 MonthsWhat is your setup like?: Randal II 180's, Various khiro bushings, Bones Red Bearings, Abec11 Pink Gumballs Typical Session Discipline: DH, Campus Cruising How much did you pay?: 80$ Deck only Where did you purchase it?: From a silverfish user What were the strengths of the deck.: Very stable board, but also flexible in the sense that it makes it useful as a campus cruiser as well. The lower platform makes pushing easier and more comfortable when cruising. What were the weaknesses?: Very heavy board; not flexible at all, making the concave feel uncomfortable if not accustomed to it. Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 3 of 3 |
