Reviews written by dfgfdhgdsa Abec 7, sort of funky., Thursday, 11 September 2008 Equipment Reviews How long have you ridden them?: A month or soWhat Setup are you running them on?: Sector Nine Maccas, Or Loaded Dervish (Flex 2), in Sector Nine Race Formula 76mm 80a Wheels Typical Discepline?: Downhill, Cruising, Slalom How much did you pay for them?: $27 Where did you buy them?: Dadies Board Shop What are their weaknesses?: For some reason I just always feel some resistance. I lube them, service them (properly), but I always feel some resistance, from right out of the box (shuriken, sort of novel). I figured I'd have to break them in, but They never really felt broken in. It's reprehensible to feel resistance in an abec 7 bearing. What are their strengths?: It's better than some still. What similar equipment have you ridden?: Greaseballs, Bones Reds, Rush Swiss Blacks. Would you recommend them?: No Good for the price point, Thursday, 11 September 2008 Aside from that, they're not bad at all. Equipment Reviews How long have you ridden them?: A Few WeeksWhat Setup are you running them on?: On either a Sector Nine Maccas or Loaded Dervish with 72mm 78a Sector Nine Wheels (Sorry, I'm not sure on the specific name). Also in Sector Nine Race Formula 76mm 80a Wheels. Typical Discepline?: Downhill, Slalom, Cruising How much did you pay for them?: $15 Where did you buy them?: Bill's Wheels (Local in Santa Cruz) What are their weaknesses?: Well, the reason they are so cheap is because they are made in China, which I disagree with ethically. As far as functionality goes, they need pretty regular cleaning as only one side is shielded, and the other is not. It's not as bad as it sounds, as only one side faces out, but still isn't good. What are their strengths?: Cheap, fast, especially for the price point (at least for some time). What similar equipment have you ridden?: Greaseballs, Ninja Abec 7s, Daddies Board Shop Abec 7s, Rush Swiss Blacks (Really really cool bearings). Would you recommend them?: Yes Great Service, Thursday, 11 September 2008 Overall I was very happy with the service. Retailer Reviews What did you buy?: Loaded Dervish Complete Flex 2, with Randal R-II (Black Matte)180mm, Daddies Board Shop Abec 7 Bearings, Orangatang In Heat 75mm 80a Wheels. When did you buy it?: About 3.5 Weeks Ago How much did you spend?: $279 Was the site easy to navigate if the purchase was online?: Absolutely, very navigable, especially with the new site layout. Did the purchase go smoothly?: Yeah, it absolutely did. Did you feel like they appreciated your business?: I didn't get any personal notification, but I'm fairly confident they appreciate customers. Based purely in the way they respond to any questions about a product. Would You recommend them in the future?: Depends on whether or not it's carrried. Sick addition to my quiver, Wednesday, 10 September 2008 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: About 2 weeksWhat is your setup like?: Flex 2 (100-170lbs., I am about 130) Randal R-II 180mm Black Matte Finish (I like em loose) Daddies Board Shop Abec 7s (great bearings, and cheap) Orangatang In Heat 75mm 80a wheels (Orange ones, and they're absolutely incredible) Typical Session Discipline: Downhill and Carving How much did you pay?: $279 Where did you purchase it?: Daddies Board Shop What were the strengths of the deck.: Absolutely everything. It rides awesome, feels great, and flexes so nice. Durability is great too. What were the weaknesses?: I can't think of any honestly. Similar decks you have ridden?: Sector Nine Maccas, Loaded Pintail, Loaded Vanguard. Would you recommend it?: Yes Pretty good, but I'm sure there's better, Wednesday, 10 September 2008 And they roll great. Equipment Reviews How long have you ridden them?: About 4 MonthsWhat Setup are you running them on?: On a Sector 9 Maccas Board, 32 inches, Gullwing Sidewinder trucks, 77mm 85a Abec11 Strikers. Also on my flex 2 Loaded Dervish. Typical Discepline?: Downhill, Slalom, Speed. How much did you pay for them?: Came with the complete, but I got new ones for $15. Where did you buy them?: Local Skate Shop, Funky Planet What are their weaknesses?: The seals make it harder than shielded bearings to maintain, but that is to be expected. They also make some funky noise when you hit high speeds. What are their strengths?: They are great at speed, and very durable. I actually dinged mine up while installing them on the strikers, and I opted to see how it rode. There is no easily discernible change in performance, even with dented shields. What similar equipment have you ridden?: Ninja Abec 7s, Pleasure Tools Ceramics, Bones Reds, Daddies Board Shop Stock 7s. Would you recommend them?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 5 of 5 |
