Reviews written by equal The Big Fish!, Monday, 05 March 2007 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 1 YearWhat is your setup like?: 180mm RII Randal Trucks76mm 72a Sector9 Goddess Of Speed wheelsBones Swiss bearings Typical Session Discipline: Cruising around town How much did you pay?: $85 for the deck Where did you purchase it?: Direct from Motion, a factory second. What were the strengths of the deck.: Fantastic construction, very light board. I know the description above says this board has a mild flex, but it's got flex for days if you ask me. Maybe I'm too heavy for it, but it rides great! I had an unfortunate run-in with a city bus a while back. The bus ran right over my board, tail to nose. The trucks and brushings were destroyed, but the board was fine! Only a small crack in the wood, which is still held together between the outer plies of fibreglass. Amazing. What were the weaknesses?: The board never had it's final finishing done on it. I imagine this is due to the fact that it was a factory second, so they didn't bother doing little things like making a tapered recess for the bolts to go through so they'd be flush with the board. Also, it was a little rough around the edges. Again, I'd have to see a properly finished model to know whether this is indicative of the line, or just because they were selling it well below normal price. Similar decks you have ridden?: It had a similar feel to a Loaded Vanguard, at a fraction of the price. Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 1 of 1 |
