Reviews written by foreverstrife Gravity DT37, Wednesday, 07 February 2007 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: Half a yearWhat is your setup like?: Tracker 149 Darts, wedged risers. Gravity 78a Street-G wheels. Typical Session Discipline: Carving, How much did you pay?: I don't remember Where did you purchase it?: Gravity's online shop What were the strengths of the deck.: - Really fun/easy to drift the back and do 180 powerslides and stand-up drifts. Bank and driveway berts galore.- comfortable ride (no concave+flex)- wide and roomy- the tail "pocket" feels nice. I really like riding it with my foot in there. What were the weaknesses?: - Flex felt really floppy and unresponsive- Lacked torsional stiffness- didn't feel like I could get proper leverage to turn Similar decks you have ridden?: Comet Scramjet 34" Would you recommend it?: Undecided Comet Scramjet 34", Wednesday, 07 February 2007 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 1 yearWhat is your setup like?: Tracker 149 Darts front and back. Front is wedged with a khiro soft wedge, the back is flat. Bones Hardcore bushings in both trucks, softer in front. 81 66mm Strikers. Typical Session Discipline: Just carving, sliding, and getting from class to class How much did you pay?: 70 (bought it used) Where did you purchase it?: From Silversurfer, lolz What were the strengths of the deck.: - Small so it's easy to carry and stash away- flex is stiff but very energetic and responsive. Doesn't feel floppy, and there is still good torsional stiffness.- Moderate concave feels comfortable- tail is very usable, and I can ollie it decently- very very multipurpose despite it's size. I can pump is easily, it's carves nicely, It slides nicely, and it feels surprisingly stable; the flex doesn't flop around at all.- The shape really makes it front foot driven (good and bad I guess). What were the weaknesses?: - Very skinny deck. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone who wears anything larger than a size 9. It's 8" at it's largest point, and towards the back it gets to about 7-6 inches. - I wish the tail were wider. It's a very usable tail, but since it's so skinny, it makes it harder to pop ollies, especially when you have your trucks very loose.- I wish it were a tad bit longer. I find that when I put my foot on the widest portion of the deck, where is looks like the front foot is supposed to go, my back foot is over the truck bolts. I generally like riding boards between the bolts. Similar decks you have ridden?: Gravity DT37 Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 2 of 2 |
