Quantcast

Newsflash

The Bennett "lockerboard" was scootin' around the Crossroads show recently and Mr. Bennett called to say they're out on the market now in a limited run of hand-screened, numbered completes.  We're stoked to see the little, rockered deck out there!

They've got the hook-hole in the nose, wheelwells that match perfectly when you crank'em over to turn the way Bennetts do and 'gators on the 4.3's.   They're at TailTap.com.

Definitely consider this board for carving, garages, flats. Keep it away from the straight bomb steep stuff. It's very forgiving, and willing to be beat up. Probably bullet proof, and very strong.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 22 months
What is your setup like?: Loaded Vanguard Flex 2 bamboo
R-II trucks
Rush abec 7 bearings
Abec 11 Grippins

Typical Session Discipline: Carving, flats, parking garages
How much did you pay?: $218.00
Where did you purchase it?: Greg's Greenlake Cycle
What were the strengths of the deck.: This board is very responsive and stable in low speeds. Its a perfect parking garage board because of its ability to translate how the surface feels and what your wheels and trucks are doing. The flex makes the deck seem alive when carving and allows for quick direction changes, needed for pedestrian slalom in downtown seattle.
What were the weaknesses?: Definitely not a downhill board. While i have been towed into 40 on it, it was a harrowing experience, and not one i'm planning on repeating. Also, the deck loses it's arc after a while, so there's a slight decrease in flex.
Similar decks you have ridden?: Loaded pintail, loaded vanguard, sector 9 bomb sketch, numerous homemade suicide sticks
Would you recommend it?: Yes
