This board seems pretty Meh.
Decent all around, doesn't really stand out at any one thing.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 1 month
What is your setup like?: randal II 150's
G&S 70mm 78a
1/8th" risers
bearings unsure

Typical Session Discipline: cruising, carving
How much did you pay?: 150
Where did you purchase it?: DBS
What were the strengths of the deck.: fairly stable at speed
not that difficult to slide
pre drilled for shortening wheelbase

What were the weaknesses?: i should've put r 180's on instead of 150's

grip tape rubs off every time you step on nose or tail to manual.
lots of flex (i'm 175lbs). i can make the deck scrape ground easily, going straight. not a board i'd want to jump around on much. shortening wheelbase helped just slightly.

Similar decks you have ridden?: arbor fish 38
Would you recommend it?: Undecided

woodgrain is almost too pretty, hate to botch it up. Really liking the spray on grip. great for cruising.

How long have you ridden the board: 1 month
What is your setup like?: randal II 150's
70mm 78a dano's (daddiesboardshop)
DBS bearings (good value bearings, spin forever)
no riser or shock pads

Typical Session Discipline: cruising, carving,
How much did you pay?: 160 shipped

What were the strengths of the deck.: Some of its strenghts can be weaknesses
Koa is beautiful, see weaknesses
really stiff deck, very stable for beginners
Respectably stable at speed
the tail is easier to stand on than pointier pintails

What were the weaknesses?: Koa is beautiful, i really hate to ride this thing and scuff up the koa, so i only use it for cruising, no tricking.
zero flex
Bottom graphic is chipping off pretty quickly
i should've put 1/8th shock pads on, but its not bad to ride over rough surfaces

Similar decks you have ridden?: G&S 44 pin

The board looked a little tall to me in pics. Its actually pretty low and comfortable to push. Board has only slightly more flex than my arbor with my 185lbs, so almost none.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 1 week
What is your setup like?: 66mm 78a cadillac wheels
abec 3 or 5 - cant remember
invader 8" trucks

Typical Session Discipline: cruising, tricks
How much did you pay?: 103 shipped
Where did you purchase it?: rampandrail.com
What were the strengths of the deck.: Out of the box this thing turns circles in a 5 foot radius, yet feels stable at low to moderate speed. very flickable, dont have to lean to turn hard. kick tail and nose are very functionable. awesome deck design, cutouts could accomodate larger wheels.
What were the weaknesses?: The bearings may have been sourced from wal mart. Reds in this thing could make it a little better for cruising.
Similar decks you have ridden?: ancient powell 30" cruiser
g&s 44" pintail
38" arbor pintail

Would you recommend it?: Yes
