Reviews written by jetkin Hybrid 35, Thursday, 08 February 2007 I guess some people ride this thing on tranny, but I haven't tried that yet. Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 3 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Original S6 trucks, 66mm 81 strikers, bones reds Typical Session Discipline: City cruising What were the strengths of the deck.: Plenty wide, with a nice mellow concave. Pumps very well from between the trucks. Move your rear foot onto the wide tail to slash some surf-style cutbacks.Turns just as tight as its sibling, the 28" derringer. What were the weaknesses?: IMO the nose on this board is kind of useless. Original trucks are so heavy, and so loose that manuals, kickturns, ollies, etc. are possible but far from easy. Would you recommend it?: Yes Original Derringer, Thursday, 08 February 2007 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 6 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Original S6 truckes, 66mm 81a strikers, bones reds Typical Session Discipline: City cruising What were the strengths of the deck.: Pumps like mad - on the flat, goes from a dead standstill to good clip with just few hard pumps.Turns as tight as can as be. Careful or you might disappear up your own a$$.Nice slight concave. What were the weaknesses?: So little room, it really has only one usable stance. It didn't really have a good place for my back foot.Board is totally stiff, but still has close to an 1" of camber -- nice form pumping, but makes it kind of tippy and high for pushing. Would you recommend it?: No << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 2 of 2 |
