Quantcast

Newsflash

Pocket Pistol's B. "Chicken" Deck is all over the import industry's use of heat-transfer graphics to boards.  Sure, he's a silk-screen traditionalist (and one of the best), but there's more to this than just gripin':  heat breaks down epoxy and the boards get hot!

After being in the rain for a night, they still destroy.

How long have you ridden them?: 2 years
What Setup are you running them on?: currently i have them on a bustin strike with powerballs and 42* randals
Typical Discepline?: carving, cruising, some DH
How much did you pay for them?: around $12
Where did you buy them?: The longboard store
What are their weaknesses?: takes about a week to break in.
What are their strengths?: surprisingly awesome. i left them out in the rain over night, and after not even cleaning them, they work great.

id go this board as a starter. it was my first real longboard and it served me very well. i even managed to sneak out at night upward of 30 times with it in my arms and it was quite simple.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 2 years
What is your setup like?: originally it came stock with tacker darts and Gravity Super G's but the trackers blew hard to i switched them for some randal 150's but still ride the Super G's sometimes.
Typical Session Discipline: carve, commute, cruise
How much did you pay?: $150 for complete
Where did you purchase it?: Gravity skateboards
What were the strengths of the deck.: very flexy. great flex. very comfy also. mucho carvy if you have good trucks. don't consider the tracker darts that came stock good trucks.
What were the weaknesses?: a little big for my carving needs. i should of gone 42".
Similar decks you have ridden?: Gravity Mini-carve. just a smaller version. kinda the same just more carve cause it was smaller.
Would you recommend it?: Yes

just buy it. be sure to get reboundy bushings though.
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 1 year
What is your setup like?: i originally had the pintail set up with paris 180's and Abec 11 gumballs. it was decent but as of now im running Bear grizzly 180's with randal stock bushings in front and a bottom khiro bitch 85a and a top khiro barrel 90a in back and purple orangatangs "in heat". i like it much better.
Typical Session Discipline: carving, cruising, small downhill
How much did you pay?: $225 for the randal/gumball and $235 for the bear/Ptangs
Where did you purchase it?: insect longboards, MHS, and Muir
What were the strengths of the deck.: Super carvy with teh right bushings, i love the camber. if tightend enough, the bear set up is mad on small downhill. i beat my friends insect mosquito in a race. one of the best boards i've ridden.
What were the weaknesses?: a little high off the ground and not as flexy as i would like it to be but i just should of gotten a lighter flex. some times can be wobbly
Similar decks you have ridden?: some sector nine piece of crap that looked similar...not similar in the least.
Would you recommend it?: Yes
