Reviews written by noelfranc You get what you pay for!, Wednesday, 17 September 2008 My expectation in a downhill truck is something that can't turn at speeds below 20mph. I also had to adjust the tightness of the kingpin from it's factory setting, I found it too loose. Maybe the white bushing that came with it is too soft, maybe I should try the black bushings. But because of it's "turny" attribute, this makes my DH board more versatile. And I get peace of mind knowing that I can bring just one board that carves sweet as honey, easy on the legs for long distance cruising, and able to provide stability when bombing hills. If you can afford it, buy it! Equipment Reviews How long have you ridden them?: Not long enough. What Setup are you running them on?: Never Summer DH Smoke dropthroughed with Khiro pads to protect my board. Landyacth ceramics with bearing spacers. Abec11 flywheels 83mm 81a. Typical Discepline?: All Around, DH, carving, sliding, flatland cruising, I said ALL ARROUND! How much did you pay for them?: $260 Where did you buy them?: www.daddiesboardshop.com What are their weaknesses?: I'm not sure if there are any weakness other than its affordability. What are their strengths?: They do look expensive since it's abviously CNC'ed. 10mm means stronger than 8mm. Low to the ground means easy on the legs when pushing and stable in cornering at high speeds. The agility is very surprising, I thought I won't be able to turn my board with these trucks. This is more turny than my RandalII 180's dialed in tight. Even after tightening the kingpin, this is still turny. Reminds me of my Seismic trucks. Really agile. What similar equipment have you ridden?: Seismic 30degs, I guess when it comes to DH stability and full agility. Would you recommend them?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 1 of 1 |
