A must own wheel. Everyone should try them
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: 8 months
What Setup are you running them on?: Landyachtz EvoForce c7sAbec11 biltins
Typical Discepline?: downhill/garages/some cruising
How much did you pay for them?: came in complete
Where did you buy them?: gearguys.com
What are their weaknesses?: only thing I can really say is that they are slow in the skatepark (78a)
What are their strengths?: Really smooth ride with roll speed. Something about them gives a heavier rollover feel than other similar sized wheels. Can't explain it but if they were drums, they would be a floor tom or a small bass while other wheels feel like tom-toms. They grip pretty nice, even on slick parking garage 'crete.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: I also ride 3DM avilas in a similar 79a duro. The avilas are only 1mm smaller than the gumballs (75mm) but the gums feel like you have a little more umph and inertia once you start rolling. My avilas tend to grip better due to the larger contact patch and lip but the gumballs have peace of mind knowing that you can acutally slide if you need to. And you can.
Would you recommend them?: Yes

I'm no bearing freak so I can't comment on "totally awesome mach speed fast" they are. Most quaility bearings that are maintained well, seem similarly fast. They work for me.

GO OUT AND HUMU!
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 7 months
What is your setup like?: 24" HumuTracker 85mm RTS/X3/4" Flat RiserAbec11 flashbacks 78a
Typical Session Discipline: Cruising/pumping
How much did you pay?: The LBL price ; )
Where did you purchase it?: Longboard Larry
What were the strengths of the deck.: Awesome looking little board. Fun as can be. Great for pumping or a mini-surf cruise. Good potential for tricks (search "Do you Humu?"). The rockered shape and rolled edges make a very comfortable platform for the feet. With my size 10 feet and the standard width, I feel like I'm grabbing the deck like a hawk or a crazed ape (and having just as much fun flying). Great for pedestrian slalom especially on a college campus, Quick nimble and light enough to carry anywear (Work, bar coatcheck, airport, backpack). I take it with my n my trunk even if I'm not sure I'll get to use it.
What were the weaknesses?: It's made of birch which seems a fairly softer wood than maple. Tends to get dinged and scratched which is a bummer because of how beautiful it is. You can't help but ride the dickens out of it. Has a tendency to be squirrily (something I like but other may not) and combined with poor wheel choice can cause mid-pump wheelbite and some booboos. I'm running 70mm wheels and I'm doing fine. The spray on grip is pretty minimal to begin with and may need touching up over time. Need to carry a stick to beat off the ladies
Similar decks you have ridden?: Various other mini boards. I am drawn to the unique shape of the humu. Being rockered with rolled edges is something that sets it apart. Classic retro look and the split tail put the Humu out on top
Would you recommend it?: Yes

I love this board. It hauls ass and is just my style for its application. Fun garage board but a bummer to carry around campus
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 1 year
What is your setup like?: 11-ply evorandal rII 180/force c7biltinskhiro shockpadgumballs/kryptos/avilas
Typical Session Discipline: garage
How much did you pay?: 180 + various upgrades
Where did you purchase it?: gearguys.com (boardsports)
What were the strengths of the deck.: Nice heavy construction can take a beating. Also carries a lot of inertia yet stays nimble while riding. Absorbs road vibration very nicely for a smooth ride. Solid feel under feet. Stable yet agile especially with Force c7 trucks. Can carve well. Unique look. Dropped down hammock-like turning allows for a unique and different ride style. Wide front platform allows for foot space. Great race pedigree
What were the weaknesses?: Heavy to carry and a bit more difficult to slow down compared to other boards. Asthetic-wise, graphics look bland
Similar decks you have ridden?: I have also tried the landyacthz DH race. A similar board, the DH is more narrow and isn't as good at turning as the evo.
Would you recommend it?: Yes
