Reviews written by randyka This board is awesome, Sunday, 04 October 2009 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 1 yearWhat is your setup like?: bear trucks, 4 president 83a Typical Session Discipline: downhill, carving, a little bit of dancing How much did you pay?: 228 Where did you purchase it?: www.stokedskateboards.com What were the strengths of the deck.: This board is awesome for carving and light downhilling. It gets sketchy around 35-40 mph, but it won't speed wobble if you set it up right. It carves like no other (in my opinion, better than the dervish). It has a slight flex just enough for carving but sturdy enough to go fast. I love this board. What were the weaknesses?: This board is not a true downhill board. Similar decks you have ridden?: Dervish, custom dropthrough board, landyachtz drop carve Would you recommend it?: Yes loaded fish, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 1 yearWhat is your setup like?: flex 2 tracker 139s rts abec 11 strikers 88a grip tape on the tail on the deck Typical Session Discipline: human slalom, sliding, and carving How much did you pay?: $200 Where did you purchase it?: ebay What were the strengths of the deck.: -really fun to carve really fast -really maneuverable to do a lot of skateboard tricks -nice sliding board What were the weaknesses?: -unstable at higher speed -too short, maybe because i like bigger boards in general Similar decks you have ridden?: -flexdex slalom 30v-turnier...i dont't like it as much Would you recommend it?: No landyachtz dh race, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 1 yearWhat is your setup like?: angled risers randal downhill trucks 83mm flywheels 81a Typical Session Discipline: downhilling, carving, and slidding How much did you pay?: birthday present from an awesome girlfriend Where did you purchase it?: i think she bought it at TLS What were the strengths of the deck.: it's really a board that's almost impossible to get a wobble on, especially with the randal downhill trucks. it became a nice carving board once i put the angled risers. one reason why i put the angled risers on was because i bottomed out the board often. it's also a nice board to do pendulum slides on because of the concavity. What were the weaknesses?: without the angled risers, the bottom of the board will get beat up a week after you get the board. it's also a little bit too thin if you have big feet. Similar decks you have ridden?: my friend's spud with bear trucks and angled risers- much more maneuverable. don't know if it does well downhill, never tried it. Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 3 of 3 |
