Reviews written by rpgmini Loaded Fish: good for the diet, Saturday, 28 June 2008 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: one monthWhat is your setup like?: Flex 2 (Weigh 125-ish, 5'3") with Tracker 139 RTS with randal yellow bottom bushings and Blue Tracker tops, 66mm 81a Strikers. Typical Session Discipline: Cruising, Carving How much did you pay?: 190 Where did you purchase it?: shiplee.com (takes FOREVER) What were the strengths of the deck.: Very stable up to 25mph (hard to judge speed w/o any kind of equipment) super turny with the randal yellow bottoms in. With the strikers this board stand-up slides like butter. Love the kicktail, and the size is perfect because you can still do a lil' bit of x-stepping and what not on it. Very lightweight, easy to carry. What were the weaknesses?: Only thing I don't like so far is the fact that the rails take a beating and it looks uggs. Other than that, I guess razortail? Similar decks you have ridden?: None Would you recommend it?: Yes Homegrown, Sunday, 13 April 2008 Such a cool board someone might steal it. hahahaa, now i can go out and try something else. Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: Rode it for 3 months before it was stolen. What is your setup like?: Randal 150s, red bottoms and yellow tops. Had bones reds, maybe 1/8 or 1/16th inch shock pads and abec11 no skoolz 88a. Typical Session Discipline: Cruising, sliding. How much did you pay?: 140$ altogether Where did you purchase it?: Muir skateshop, got the wheels from milehigh What were the strengths of the deck.: Very small, perfect for campus cruising. Shorter wheelbase made for easy standup slides. It was olley-able, and manualable. Very maneuverable on the flats. What were the weaknesses?: Length took a while to get used to, but once I got used to the size of the board it was fun. Couldn't really cross-step on it easily, but it would've been do-able if I had been able to practice on it before it was jacked. Obviously not that stable at higher speeds, Similar decks you have ridden?: None Would you recommend it?: Undecided Loaded Vanguard Rocks My Socks, Sunday, 17 February 2008 Oh yea, sometimes the flex can bounce you off the board. GET YOUR OWN VANGUARD and WEAR A HELMET Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: One MonthWhat is your setup like?: Randal 180s With 88a Khiro Barrels 78a Gumballs With Biltin Bearings Flex 4 Typical Session Discipline: Carving, Cruising, Board Dancing (or some semblance thereof), Sliding How much did you pay?: $140 Where did you purchase it?: A Good Friend ;) What were the strengths of the deck.: The Deck itself is Strong, The flex becomes so comfortable once you get used to it. The Vanguard carves like a Light Saber through butter. Fun to slide with, dance on, and stuff. Ummm, what else?? Basically, it's sex on four pieces of urethane. =D What were the weaknesses?: Not all that agile at lower speeds. Similar decks you have ridden?: None Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 3 of 3 |
