If you get Randal 180's, you should immediately do four things:
1) Buy some Randal Red Bushings, instead of the yellow ones
2) either flip over your cup washer or put flat washers on it, because the cup washers will slice the bushings
3) Take your kingpin out and put it in backwards, with the nut nearest to the deck. This reduces wear on the kingpin
4) Take the hangers off, put soap in the pivot bushing, (to get rid of sqeaking) and put them back on reversed, with the CA facing up and the 180 facing the deck. This made mine much more friendly to me.

You'll want the trucks just tight enough that the hanger will rebound back to center if you push on it, or in other words tight enough that the wheels don't loosely stay turned to the side if you hold the board up and push on them. Don't ride them extremely loose - they get really really squirrely.

In any case, I love these trucks - they're not the best, but I've used everything from Seismics to Bears, and if you want some intense fun, get RIIs. You'll like them.

Oh, and if you have issues with them, check out the Randal website.
Equipment Reviews
How long have you ridden them?: More than 2 years
What Setup are you running them on?: Cheap wheels, 47inch Maple cruiser, abec7 Speedy Lunatic bearings
Typical Discepline?: I use them for carving and sliding
How much did you pay for them?: $30
Where did you buy them?: eBay
What are their weaknesses?: Kind of squirrely, and the bushings/washers that they come with suck, so you should replace them. Not that great downhill on a high board, but work fine on drop-thru or lowered boards. Took a lot of modding before I liked them, but hey, doesn't everything? :)
What are their strengths?: Turns amazingly, cheap, great for carving, slide well, work pretty well with any board. Tons of fun, really really responsive.
What similar equipment have you ridden?: Paris 180's ride mostly the same, but they... i dunno, they feel cheap to me.
Would you recommend them?: Yes
