All around great board for the price. William Yowell (owner, founder, and builder of KSz), appears to be a good guy to deal with and he really wants to sell a good board at a good price. I had the board on the third day after I made the order. Highly recommend...
Longboard Review
How long have you ridden the board: 2-3 Months
What is your setup like?: stock: Randal 180mm with 78a Abec11 Flashbacks
Typical Session Discipline: Hills, garages, cruising
How much did you pay?: $105.95 + $16.95 shipping
Where did you purchase it?: www.krackedskulls.com
What were the strengths of the deck.: Really good all purpose board. It's really stable and it has a lot of nice predictable flex so it makes it a GREAT carver for average speed hills and garages. Also great for cruising around town because of it's drop through design. Very easy to push and it's also nice for some boardwalking...I love the fact it's bi-directional and it's wide enough for my big feet...I can't speak to bombing big hills but since it's fairly flexible I suspect it's not want you want despite it's design. You really can't beat the price plus it comes with great trucks and wheels!
What were the weaknesses?: Not many really. As I said, you probably (unless you're really good) can't bomb the biggies and it has a fairly big turning radius so sidewalk slalom is out. Doesn't come with griptape but the board was fairly grippy on its own; however, griptape is eventually needed and it was fun putting on your own design. Could be slightly more versatile with a shorter wheel base and a kick tail like the Landyachtz: drop carve but we're nit picking here...
Similar decks you have ridden?: Gravity, Black 29, Sector 9.
Would you recommend it?: Yes
