Reviews written by wmegginson They sure do look pretty, Friday, 06 July 2007 Equipment Reviews How long have you ridden them?: about a monthWhat Setup are you running them on?: They are currently on a 23" Glass Grenade, but they spent most of their life on a flexdex pro 40 Typical Discepline?: Commuting, LDP, Parking garages, Bike trails How much did you pay for them?: $55 ish Where did you buy them?: Pressuredroplongboards.com What are their weaknesses?: After about 3 days of riding I noticed cracks in the urethane. Then after about 2 weeks I took an 1nch long gash out one of the rear wheels, and then tonight I took a sizeable gash out of another wheel in a smooth parking garage. What are their strengths?: They look amazing, pump up to speed quickly, and with the large cores they really hold their speed like cruise control. They grip really well through turns and when they finally lose traction they are real progressive and drift back into line comfortably. Basiclly they are great wheels EXCEPT they don't last!!! What similar equipment have you ridden?: 70mm 75a Grippins that I've worn down to 62mm Grippins without losing any chunks of urethane. Would you recommend them?: No The closet thing we've got to a hoverboard, Wednesday, 11 April 2007 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 8 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Randall 150's, 70MM zig zags, Biltin abec7, 2Sunriser head lights (one in front, and one under the back truck so it lit up the entire board at night, I highly recommend this) Typical Session Discipline: Commuting, Parking garages How much did you pay?: $200 Where did you purchase it?: Directly from Flexdex What were the strengths of the deck.: This was the most fun board I have ever ridden. The ride was pretty good not as good as some other flexdex boards, but not bad. What made this board so much fun was I could see everything underneath my feet and with the lights it gave you a real sense of floating down the road at night. What were the weaknesses?: It looked too good and somone stole it. Similar decks you have ridden?: I replaced this with a Flexdex slalolm 30v and it has a similar ride. Would you recommend it?: Yes The Merceds Benz of skateboards, Wednesday, 11 April 2007 Longboard Review How long have you ridden the board: 2 monthsWhat is your setup like?: Tracker RT-S/RT-X 150MM, Lucky titanium, 75a 70MM abec11 Grippins, Sunriser head and tail lights Typical Session Discipline: Commuting, Parking garages How much did you pay?: $220 Where did you purchase it?: Longboardstore.com What were the strengths of the deck.: This board's incredibly responsive and you feel everything going on under your feet in a good way. There is a real connection wth the road. Also it's guaranteed fo life. What were the weaknesses?: Sometimes too agile. None of my friends are brave enough to ride it... I guess that's not a bad thing Similar decks you have ridden?: Flexdex clear 29 Would you recommend it?: Yes << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >> Results 1 - 3 of 3 |
