Like @skully says, if you are looking for a GS setup @radeng the Death or Glory will be more than perfect. It will also perform very well on looser Hybrid. It is my personnal favorite and I use it for pretty much anything but the super tech and very tight TS.

The Seb Leger will work perfectly for HS and tighter GS. And the Lightning Strike for TS and tighter HS.

And you can't go wrong with the 100mm Slalocybins for any of the slalom disciplines.

I don't remember you giving Fullbag a fair chance, Gary. So I don't think they are part of that "ton".

This seems a good time to make my return.
my stoke's been wavering. maybe it's low t? whatever that is. not skating as much. kicking myself for my uneven performance at the Sizzler and chickening out on doing the BAR. Although I killed the tight slalom on my Fullbag Red Baron at that race. So I was happy with that.

On the Fullbag subject. I love them. I own 3. The Lightning Strikes is a great board but due to the smaller skinnier size I only use it for ts and tight/techie hs courses. I keep coming back to that Red Baron. I've had that deck for, what?, 10 years? Is that right, Mig? I don't really run cones with my Fullbag GS that often. I use it for regular longboard type riding. Garages, ditches, downhill, around the neighborhood, whatever. It's been one of my go-to/ road trip/ just-in-case-I-get-a-chance-to-skate board for years now. My current race quiver consists of the Fullbag Lightning Strikes. Fullbag Red Baron and my custom JBH/PG.
All I'm saying is I love Fullbags. I still need to get an Elise.

on other topics. I think I found a ditch for me to play in. Nothing great but it's something new to skate. AND it's on my way home from work. Now I just need a break from rain long enough for it to dry so I can try it.

That said, I feel that the 'fish still provides on its mission statement to promote longboarding, but now instead of an aggressive vanguard we are doing is passively. We have always been about information, and the information is there. It will be till the lights go out.

Truth is, that's the goal right now. Keep the lights on as long as possible. We need help, and honestly it's not going to come. Running a site this big costs a lot of money that's just the honest truth. With the massive shift in online promotion we just don't have the resources to do what need to be done, or even more so, what we want to do.

I like the idea of advancing our culture, I just think at this point the culture is far more pervasive than just SF.

I had an email a few days ago from someone who read the very first review I personally published and had questions about the same board. It was heartwarming to give advice on a setup I loved so dearly. I'll do my duty for the fish, and I appreciated the simplicity of sharing something I loved.

I feel bad that the site isn't what it could be or once was, but I acknowledge how things have changed I do respect deeply all of you that make the community.

All I really care to say in closing.

    Just keep skating.

Sad news. Not totally unexpected though. I've learned a lot from this site and there's a wealth of information to be found with a quick search through old posts. Hope SF hangs on for a while longer.

I just wrote a post and went to add a photo and it kicked me off, told me to log on but I was already logged on. So frustrated and lost everything I wrote. Oh well, don't feel like typing it again but have a great weekend everyone!

Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow as I signed up for a 5/10/walk/roll fundraiser for a community group that helps people w/ disabilities, I will be the only geek on a longboard but it's okay. Should be mellow as I will be w/ the strollers and people in wheelchairs on the paved track, hopefully I won't fall on anyone .

Hey tgozzz nice to see you here! If you know of anyone who wants a rabbit and/or baby bunnies my Asheville friends are helping a rescue group find homes for about 100 of them...

Yes! We only had one solid snow day where school was canceled, the kids are so happy that school is now ending 3 days earlier because those snow days were never used. I won't be out this year but my brother will for the annual "retro pie party", maybe next year! This summer is a quick one-week trip to SF as my other brother is getting married. I sure miss Asheville though, I was so inspired by the Friday nite drum circle there that I found a group to here to do a circle once a month at a local community event, it was so much fun! I hope it continues. I want to live in Asheville when I grow up.

Just caught up w/ posts, congrats Maggot on getting married! Ulu I hope your mom is better soon. Gary in VA sorry to hear about your Dad passing.

Guess I'll have to learn to use FB if SF shuts down. Have a couple fake accounts to check restaurant specials and the like. Now if I could only remember the passwords. If you ever get a friend request from user Tag Smiley Face, Tag Smelly Feet, Tag etc. that's me.

@sugarmag 100 rabbits! Your friends better watch out. Those 100 rabbits might become 1000s. After all rabbits breed like rabbits.

Gear hording alert. Edge has had some pretty good deals. Looks like they might be going out of business, stuff on sale and no new stock. I'm trying to resist buying more wheels. Lately my vice has been small center set wheels. I'm growing a collection of sets with one or two flat spotted wheels. I keep hoping that one day my form will get better.
